MX-500 two-way output switching (welding, desoldering and rework system) Metcal's MX-500 welding and rework system has been rebuilt, adding the latest functions to the desktop welding tool and giving it a new image. The system uses smartheat®Technology, the soldering iron tip is equipped with a self-adjusting heater, which can "sense" the temperature and strictly maintain its preset idle temperature to ensure the service life of the soldering iron tip. The tip temperature is determined by the metallurgical properties of the heater itself; no external adjustments are required, and no commissioning equipment is required.

MX-500 dual output switching (welding, desoldering and rework systems)

Metcal's MX-500 welding and rework system has been reworked, adding the latest features to desktop welding tools and giving them a new image. The system uses smartheat®Technology, the soldering iron tip is equipped with a self-adjusting heater, which can "sense" the temperature and strictly maintain its preset idle temperature to ensure the service life of the soldering iron tip. The tip temperature is determined by the metallurgical properties of the heater itself; no external adjustments are required, and no commissioning equipment is required. The MX-500 retains the original convertible two-hole, 40-watt operation, but adds a lot of the latest features to the new housing.

The built-in net power indicator can graphically or digitally display the applicable power of the tip.
User-programmable power saving mode: The time that can be entered in the power saving mode can be adjusted from 10 to 120 minutes.
Ground fault interruption: This AC ground monitor can detect a power line ground fault, and then immediately alert the operator and shut down the system. Only when the power ground is repaired, the MX-500 can be restarted and then the welding operation can be resumed.
Universal Power Supply: Automatically detects the input line voltage and adjusts accordingly for global operation without the need for adapters or performance changes.
Fully compatible with existing and original MX upgrade kits, tips, handles and accessories.
